about the artist
Anna Grace Ceramics is for the purpose of making beautiful + timeless things out of clay. To mirror the imagery of God—the Potter Most High—molding his children is a reminder of our good Creator. Clay takes time and intentionality in the process, just as the Lord molds + shapes us each day. We are the work of his hand.
Anna Reding
I began my pottery journey in high school at Central Academy in Des Moines, IA. I never considered myself to be creative, but I tried out the pottery class offered for fun. Three years of the program wasn’t enough, so I pursued an Art Major at the University of Northern Iowa to continue my ceramics journey. I studied Studio Art and Marketing while starting my small business in college, taking custom projects along the way. I launched ‘Anna Grace Creates’ as an Etsy shop in 2021 and used the profits to purchase a pottery wheel and kiln that year. I went on to have a home studio and sold in local markets. After a move to Salt Lake City, I rebranded to Anna Grace Ceramics as a full-time ceramic artist. I enjoy elevating daily rhythms through the combination of function and art in ceramics. My hope is that my slow-made pieces remind you to slow down and be where your feet are.
